Paternity Leave in May & Bar Takeover April 30th

We’re expecting! (okay technically just Alex & Zoe are expecting, but we are pretty excited, too). For the month of May Alex is going to be on call for Papa Duty so we’re planning for him to be unavailable. The last time for you to order proper Tetrahedron Coffee for the month of May is the 1st, and May 2nd he will roast all he can and begin nesting in earnest (we wish you the best!!! So much love!).

We’ll fulfill our May subscription orders using other beans we’ll get from trusted sources (we will make it fun, still, promise). And we do plan to have our garden party on the last Saturday of the month, as per usual, though very likely Alex will have someone else working the bar with him instead of Zoe.

There’s also one last chance to grab a coffee drink from Alex & Zoe themselves as they do a bar takeover at our friends’ coffee shop, Modern Coffee, over in Oakland on 19th Street, Friday April 30th from 9am-1pm.

I remember a year ago when the pandemic was suddenly shutting everything down… Zoe was connected with Modern Coffee and they had so much milk to get rid of all at once. We bought it as regular citizens, and distributed it to the neighbors using the kids’ red wagon because that was how weird the world was one year ago. Like, think of what we’ve just been through. I mean, it wasn’t toilet paper or anything, but we all still drank milk (unless we didn’t! Totally understandable). Now it’s normal to wear masks, to be uncertain about the future, and angry about police handling of mental illness calls.
