Griddle Toast and Espresso in the garden

For those of you who are local to the Bay Area, you no doubt feel the warm sun on your skin and have noted that spring has just officially arrived. The case count has eased, counties are opening a little at a time, and we’re feeling confident that we can gather again, serve samples of coffee and hand out beans in the garden, 312 Santa Clara (between 3rd & 4th) from 10 am till noon.

Preorder beans by Wednesday night so you make sure to carry home the type of coffee that you’d like—your order serves as your rsvp. Otherwise you can rsvp here to help us measure interest (& plan our supplies) or just come.

Our neighborhood baker Night Heron Bread will return, this time with griddle toast. Not much is better than coffee and toast, unless it’s being in a garden with friends and neighbors (distanced and masked).

As a company with Asian Americans in our team—like I mean the heart of our team—we had already talked amongst ourselves and wanted to publicly say that Asian American and Pacific Islander hate is not okay and the anti-Asian sentiments hit hard.

In light of the increase in anti-Asian violence, proceeds from the garden party will go to Asian Health Services and Asian Pacific Environmental Network + we also matching that personally.

At the garden party you can contribute in two ways:

  • Pick up your order at the Garden Party! For each bag picked up, we will donate $5, and you can have an espresso (black or white)

  • Make donation to the jar (or CC swipe), and get a cup of coffee! Suggested donation: $5
